Blacksmith Freight was appointed by a major automotive manufacturer to manage the transport, storage, and installation for a substantial equipment upgrade at their factory site.
Our end-to-end remit included coordinating procurement transportation of over 3,000 metric tonnes of materials, organising timely transport to the site, as well as overseeing the complete on-site assembly of materials.
Once on location, our project managers worked closely with the construction company to ensure that everything was coordinated and installed on time.
This is a great example of how our full scope of services from project management, transportation and warehousing was able to deliver a complete solution for our client. It meant that they had a fully functional factory operation quickly – without any delay or disruption to services.
