Roxanne Rimmer promoted to Business Development Manager

Roxanne Rimmer has been promoted to a newly created role of Business Development Manager at Blacksmith Freight Services Ltd.

Roxanne is truly a homegrown talent at Blacksmith. She first joined the company over 13 years ago in 2010 as an eager 16-year-old apprentice. Though starting out in an entry-level role as Import Operations Clerk, Roxanne showed immense dedication to learn about order handling, transportation, inventory management and clearing of goods.  She then became one of the youngest-ever managers at Blacksmith when she was promoted to Exports Supervisor in 2021 and has since excelled in this role by successfully overseeing major export supply chain accounts.

Her story is one of rising through passion and dedication and she is an inspiring role model for aspiring young people who want to pursue a career in the logistics industry.

In her new position as Business Development Manager, Rimmer will oversee the full customer lifecycle including customer support and business development. Her primary focus will be to ensure customers receive a service and experience that matches the company’s aims that goes ‘above and beyond expectations.’ Roxanne will also be responsible for the various Logistics Networks that Blacksmith are members of and will represent the company at the many international conferences we attend on an annual basis.

Her passion for developing customer relationships and resolving issues makes her the ideal fit to lead our customer services strategy during this period of rapid growth.”
